Tang Van Khien

Assoc Prof, Doctor. Tang Van Khien is the former director of Vietnam Institute of Statistical Science and is OCD’s senior statistical consultant.

• Experience

With over 45 years of experience designing and implementing nationwide research projects for UNDP, World Bank and UNPA, Dr. Khien is undoubtedly Vietnam’s most prominent and knowledgeable statistician.

He has also been the Person in Charge of more than 12 ministry level research projects, the author/co-author of 11 Statistical Science books and over 80 articles. Dr. Khien has been the key designer of OCD big market research projects including Customer Satisfaction Surveys for Electricity of Vietnam’s regional power corporations Southern Power Corporation (EVN SPC), Northern Power Corporation (EVN NPC), Center Power Corporation (EVN CPC), Hanoi Power Corporation (Hanoi EVN) and Danang Power Company, as well as for Vietnam Cement Industry Corporation (VICEM).

• Degree

Mr. Khien completed his PHD in Statistical Science in Russia in 1983.
